The experience and quality of service was awesome. Our server Noel was so kind she took time to tell us about the food and listen to our celebration story. She made our evening perfect.Drinks, bacon tower and desert were great. We both had steak which was good. But Could have been a little more tender. We got there for a 5 o'clock reservation which was good for us we like low key by 630 the place was full and got a little Loud. Would definitely come back

I came back and took pics this time! I had to make sure the food and service is still top notch, it is! Sat at the bar for a quick bit just after brunch service. Ordered, the sliders, hush puppies (didn't love the more dense and filled with corn bits recipe- more on that later), stone crab claws and the roasted half chicken. The food was still as delicious as I remember. I tried a new array of selections this go around. We went a bit crazy on the apps and tried the stone crab as a new pick, which didn't disappoint. It was on an acidic slaw without the crunch that was so delicious I thought about ordering a second order. The hush puppies were not as good as the last recipe, I do pray they go back as I dream about those fluffy fried balls of goodness. I was unaware of the change and was not happy about it. The roasted half chicken came with a pepper spike rice that was so delicious and it was so well seasoned. Lastly not pictured the scallops were cooked to perfection over a purée and were delicious! Will I be back? Absolutely! See ya next time!

LOVE this spot. We had a large party which they accommodated well with a spacious table in between the bar and main dining area. It was a girls brunch so lots of yapping in what felt like a cozy and classy environment. The ambiance was perfect, especially the chandeliers in the large modern barn like space. We could hear one another so the acoustics in the space weren't an issue. It's always irks me whenever the music is too loud or the room doesn't handle all of the noise of a restaurant well. My caesar salad with anchovies was a winner. Drinks were spot on too, though I don't remember what I had. Probably a cocktail of some sort! Plenty of options around the venue for drinks, snacks, and entertainment afterwards. We went to the top floor of the the pizza spot for a private experience. The parking at this place (2 Silos) can be hit or miss depending on whether they have an event going but definitely worth visiting. Can't wait to come back here and try their other dishes at Black Sheep!

Very nice place for couples, families, or friends gathering. This place has everything for all of your needs. 4 functions rooms from casual to formal. Above the bar area can host 17 down to the private dining room on the 1st level for up to 70 guests. It's off the beaten path but a treat upon arrival. The whole outdoor area is nice. Especially in the warmer seasons. Service was fast, friendly and servings are of a good portion. Hawaii rice can feed 2!

Killer ambiance and cocktails in a very unexpected part of town, sort of in the middle of nowhere for this type of dining experience. NOVA is rich with its barn venues for weddings etc, but everything from the plates to fancy chandaliers, Black Sheep gives you a D.C. feel without the commute and with NOVA space. Reservations are pretty competitive during the weekends. We opted for more comfort options on the menu like the burgers and patatas bravas. I got their miso cod. Food was decent, but not memorable. Would be back for the ambiance and vibes.

Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Came here on a Saturday night as a party of 2 at 9pm, and it was packed! The menu was quite pricey, so I got the pork belly appetizer and spam fried rice. Both were delicious, and the presentation was spectacular! Ambiance definitely was the winner. There's lots of parking and it's surrounded by a concert garden and beer hall with romantic night lights.

I enjoyed this place. From walking in the door I liked the atmosphere. It was well light but not too bright. The hostess was a sweetheart and the waiter was amazing all the way down to his jokes and cool but professional personality. The food was worth the money and the wait time was not long at all. The drinks were intriguing and had a kick to them as well. I will be back!

Second time goer, first time dinner participant. The Black Sheep never fails to disappoint in service and food. Our waiter was attentive, extremely kind, and my favorite characteristic, he was a little silly (always needed). Let me be the first to tell you, that ordering a plethora of appetizers here, may be the move as those were the standouts compared to the entrees. The southwest egg rolls were perfect, the calamari was full of squid, and the wagyu beef sliders were a post-meal talked about dish. The entrees were good! Not great. This is due to my table deciding to fill up on appetizers rather than focusing on the entrees so we were full by the time the main courses came out. The steak was perfectly cooked (you can't swap out the asparagus, I tried to bargain but to no avail). The jambalaya is always great, the lobster risotto was good and a fun dish to look at, and the caesar salad (nothing to write home about just a standard salad). It was my parent's anniversary and the waiter brought out a free dessert as well as one that we ordered. Both desserts had "happy anniversary" written out on it in chocolate! Super cute and sweet of them to do. The Black Sheep is a restaurant to celebrate all occassions and also great for a yummy meal time. *Side note: many of the dishes we tried to order were sold out or they did not have so ask your waiter prior to ordering what they DON'T have available before setting your heart on a dish!

Had a private dining reservation in the loft area of The Black Sheep. Our server was fantastic and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious, but I definitely had some favorites. I ordered the white Sangria and it was perfect. The dishes that stood out to me were: mussels (broth was delicious), sea bass (cooked perfectly), shrimp scampi (huge shrimps), truffle fries and the bacon. The food and drink minimum for the loft was $950 and even with over 18 people, we did not reach it. We ended up ordering more food and drinks to enjoy. Loved the atmosphere at The Black Sheep.

The ambiance is great, a little dark but lots of space! Service is good, but they are busy (even on weekdays!) so keep in mind it can be slow at times. Came here on my mom's birthday, so we started with the bourbon trail mule which was delicious, and also the grilled octopus. There's only one piece of the octopus on a bed of potatoes in romesco sauce. The sauce is absolutely delicious! For mains, we ordered the Mongolian beef bowl, grilled lamb, and cauliflower steak. Shockingly, I enjoyed the beef bowl and cauliflower steak much more - they were both flavorful but subtle enough that I felt like there was a good balance of savory, acidic, and sweet flavors. Usually I'm not someone to order vegan dishes, but I highly recommend the cauliflower steak - it comes on a bed of this hummus with tangy sauce. The grilled lamb was alright, but the sauce was oddly bitter. Overall the food was great though, and I would definitely recommend for a special event. The ambiance is nice and they don't play the music too loud!
